Goals can be tricky. They can motivate or discourage. Sometimes it’s just how the goals are WRITTEN. Have y’all heard of SMART goals? It’s a great way to break down your goals in a way that you may be able to accomplish them! But you know what… should you not completely “succeed” at your goal(s) – REMEMBER – it’s about the journey, not the destination!
Something not within SMART goals is accountability and support – Who are you going to share your goal(s) with? I’m choosing to share my goals with all of YOU! I looooove updating you all through blog posts and my Instagram on my progress. So thank YOU for your support!
Continue painting 1x per week for the month of August, then revisit goal.
Mindfully take dogs out 1x per week for an off-leash adventure for August.
Complete 30 days of yoga using the Yoga with Adriene videos on YouTube starting August 1st.
Run 3x a week for either a half hour or for 5km for the month of August.
Research CrossFit gyms in the area and do a trial class before the end of August.
Cook 4 dinners at home per week for the month of August (this is realistic for our family at this time). If we are traveling, I get a ‘get out of jail free’ card on this one… lol.
As a family, we will not eat out more than 3x a week (this is HUGE for our family… we eat out A lot! Especially when I tire of meal planning and give up)
I will run at least 3x a week to train for my 5k race in September
I will do 3 circuits a week for the next 2 weeks – either with my trainer Nicole or on my own using her program.
1x per day for 2 weeks mindfully cuddle one of our pets for 10 minutes.
For 2 weeks when challenged with a situation, say to myself “This is good because…” and fill in the blank.
Paint 1x per week for the next 6 weeks.
Explore what meaningful work may be for me at this stage in my life. I will do this through researching job postings, volunteer opportunities and maintaining this blog of reading/writing/growing.
